The introduction into Idaho NRA Classes and the NRA Basic Pistol Class
Idaho NRA classes through the NRA basic pistol class describes a pistol or handgun as a firearm specifically designed to be fired while it is being held with one hand. Even though a pistol or handgun is generally small and sometimes compact, it can also be a difficult weapon to understand and learn (Poulson, 2001).
The basic pistol course is generally an 8 hour session. Participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook as well as other course lessons which cover gun handling, various types of pistols, gun safety education Boise, fundamentals, marksmanship, pistol firing positions, exercises on the shooting range, storing firearms, cleaning, and brief coverage of various pistol activities and sports.
The goal of the Idaho NRA classes, Idaho firearms classes, and the NRA basic pistol class
is to teach basic knowledge and understanding, skills, and the overall attitude for owning and safely handling a pistol.

Completing the course
Participants will receive feedback from instructors on their live fire exercise and a certificate of successful completion of all required lessons.
