The Idaho NRA instructor training course for the NRA personal protection in the home course teaches new instructors on the knowledge, skills, and recommended attitude for essentially organizing, promoting, and effectively teaching the NRA personal protection in the home course.

Prerequisites for this course: In order to take part in the Idaho NRA Instructor Training Courses, participants must also be an NRA certified pistol instructor. Prior to taking the course, participants may undergo a pre-course questionnaire as well as demonstrate their individual firearm background.

The Idaho NRA instructor training course for the NRA personal protection in the home course covers the basic instructor training and other material related to teaching and instructor training. Participants in the course will demonstrate their organizational skills, teaching skills and ability, and an instructor examination. Students in the class will also cover information from the NRA trainer’s guide and the NRA personal protection in the home instructor material.
